• Wish Granting, she can grant wishes, however, the wishes come with an ironic twist.
• Energy Draining, she can drain physical energy from a person, if her life is in extreme danger she'll black out and this ability will activate as a defense mechanism.

Likes:

• Food, Mira is a big foodie, food is the number one thing that is usually on her mind. No ones too sure why though she's not even sure herself, so she just tells them the old stereotype that foxes are kinda greedy.
  
• Long naps, she enjoys taking naps for long periods of time, her favorite place to nap is a nice cozy bamboo pipe.
  
• Winter, Mira loves winter time especially when it's snowing. During that time she would be in her fox form, playing, and diving head first into the snow looking for small mice.
• Warm baths, she enjoys warm baths; they remind her of the relaxing hot springs in Kyoto.
• Burning Incense sticks the smell reminds her of home.

Dislikes: 

• Fireworks, even though they're pretty fireworks are very loud and they startle her badly.  Her dislike for them is so bad that she runs the other way just from the mere sight of them.
  
• Laser pointers, she's been teased with it so much, Mira knows it's an illusion, however, she keeps falling for it.
  
• Being rudely awoken aka shaking or tapping her pipe on a hard surface; refrain from doing this it will cause her to go into a slight feral mode. (etc. biting, scratching, and angry fox noises)
• Garlic, she's extremely allergic to it, garlic hurts her throat and makes her cry.
• Being left alone for long periods of time, pipe foxes crave social interaction and leaving them alone for long periods causes them to go into a depressive state.
• Being called a "dumb dog" or a cat, they're derogatory terms for a pipe fox.
  

Strengths:

• Excellent hearing; she has a keen sense of hearing; her ears can pick up a squeak from a mouse 100 ft away.
  
• Night eyesight; She has vertically oriented pupils that allow her to see in dim light.
  
• Detection; Mira is technically a spirit herself, so her body is sensitive to spiritual pressure; she is able to pick up on various types of energy, as well as the presence of other spirits.
• She's agile and fast, living on mountain terrain she had to navigate throw rock paths and steep slopes in both human form and fox form daily.
• Keen Sense of smell; Mira an uncanny sense of smell. With this, she can track someone’s scent trail with good enough concentration.
• Strong Jaws; as a pipe fox she has a powerful set of jaws; when she latches onto something it's difficult to get her off it.
  

Weaknesses: 

• Bright light; her eyes are designed for night time, so shining an extremely bright light directly on them can cause her temporary blindness.
  
• little knowledge of the outside world; Mira is about a hundred years old, and most of those years were spent sleeping in her pipe, so she's not up to date with the current world.
  
• Cat treats; one of her greatest love, but also her greatest weakness. If you have these little treats Mira will be like putty in your the palm of your hand.
• Kiseru pipe; Mira has two variations of pipes a bamboo pipe which she sleeps in, and a Kiseru pipe that her spirit is bound to. That pipe is essential to finding a master; when broken her body and magic will weaken to the point where she reverts to her Pipe fox form. She'll be stuck in that form until a new Kiseru pipe is presented to her.
• Her instincts; she can control them, but sometimes those animalistic instincts can overpower her and she could become an endangerment to herself or others.
  

Goals:

• Pipe foxes aren't very well known yokai unlike their adored Kitsune cousins; she hopes to do something great to get her species recognition.
  
• She wants to find someone worthy to be her master since she technically is a familiar type spirit.
  

Fears: 

• Having others still, see her species as nothing more than lesser fox spirits.
  
• Being mistaken for a dog and getting trapped by a human just to end up being put into the pet trade.

Ah yes, Mira, the little fuzz ball filled with whimsy and energy. This little fox is only familiar with her little world, so she's a tad bit naive to the world outside of hers. You'd think the thought of something unfamiliar, and completely foreign from what you're used to would scare her. However, it didn't, matter fact her curiosity always makes that fear disappear. To her, the thought of something completely new gets her pumped; she's enthusiastic to meet new beings from different parts of the world and learn about them. Though enthusiastic as she is to learn; Mira gets easily distracted by the smallest of things.  You could be talking about something extremely important, and she would go chase a butterfly that landed on her nose or runs off as soon as she catches the scent of food.

Speaking of food, if you haven't noticed by now this fox loves it. She loves it so much she earned the nickname the Queen of Gluttony; with that in mind if you don't like messes or you don't like having your food stolen I suggest you stay away from her. When it comes to food she's a bit mannerless and somewhat messy. You could give her an entire honey glazed ham and she would start tearing into it as if it was last ham on earth; she usually ends up making food bits fly everywhere. Also, refrain from leaving your food unattended around her; Mira will think it's a freebie and snatch it up without hesitation, poor thing doesn't realize she's stealing.

History:

What exactly can be said about her life before; Mira's life wasn't good or bad, I guess you could say it was average? At least to her, she considered it average. Mira grew up in the mountains, for the most part, it was pretty peaceful: fresh air and relaxing scent bamboo that filled the area. As peaceful as it was, Mira's traveling was very limited. In a way, she was cut off from the world beyond; this was done out of safety because she was still considered young in her species terms. However, her natural curiosity would cause her to want to see what was beyond the small territory. Despite, knowing she wouldn't be able to leave the boundaries unless she had a good enough reason to do so.

Mira had personal reasons for wanting to; her kind wasn't well known. They were looked as lesser yokai and she wanted to change that. If she could find a way to get out there, maybe she could something. If she's able to make a great achievement that could get her species positive recognition. Though Mira knew that reason alone might not be enough. Luckily for her, She had overheard some Yokai by the river talking about a learning facility for magical beings this could be her chance to get out there and do something.

With a heart full of enthusiasm and determination she raced home. Of course, when she told her parents they were still very hesitant to let her go, nevertheless, she tried to persuade them. Well, it was more like begging them, ultimately, they both gave in; knowing if they didn't they'd never hear the end of it. But, they both still worried about her wandering on her own into unknown territory. She could go, but they had to accompany until she reached the school grounds safely; Mira agreed to their term it was better than not going at all right? She would have been embarrassed, but she was so excited that she couldn't be; she was finally getting out there and maybe, just maybe she'll be able to achieve her goals.


Misc. Information:

• The mountain which she lived in was the Arashiyama Mountains.
• The name Mira translates to Mirror, the name was given to her because she looked like a mirror image of her mother.
• Mira will almost never take her mask off due to people getting a tad put off by her fox facial features. Though she'll move it up a bit to eat or to bite into something.
• Her species can use a magic called Fox Fire
  A fox-specific fire magic that can create illusions or burn down entire forests with colorful flames, either as streams of fire or fireballs of varying sizes. However, she's still a novice using it and has a hard time controlling, so she doesn't use it very often.
